Bringing It Together: What Toward Greater Things is Up to Now

I have been a quote person for as long as I can remember.  The first website I was obsessed with as a teenager was firehotquotes.com and I would print off pages and pages of quotes that I would then read to myself every day.   I have always taken the “learn through others” approach to heart and quotes were my way of teaching myself patterns and lessons that I thought were important.

This was a practice I built my life on.

I will make everything around me beautiful - that will be my lifeWhen I founded Toward Greater Things a couple years ago, I wasn’t sure where it would go or what I could offer that would be unique and impactful.  So I went into research mode: I asked my closest friends and family about what they were needing and how I have helped in that process. I started hearing the same response over and over:  I would make them notes of affirmations or quotes and put them up in their life to give them encouragement, inspiration, and love.

I realized that I have also done the same for myself.  My office, bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen are covered in different motivational messages.  Heck, I have a whole box (that I call my Box of Favorite Things) that is full of different messages that have changed my life over the years.   Words are POWERFUL!  So powerful that they change the way we view ourselves and the world around us.

Self Love Collection - microwavePsychology and learning about human behavior is one of my biggest passions. One of the most helpful lessons I’ve learned over my years of study is that the words that run through our head on a daily basis, the beliefs we hold about ourselves, the patterns we play out, are the things that become our world.  It happens so often that these patterns and beliefs end up weakening us, making us smaller than we really are.  ‘I’m not good enough.’  ‘I could never do that.’ ‘Maybe if I was younger/thinner/more beautiful’ …… and the list goes on.

I knew in that moment that I found the mission of Toward Greater Things.  I wanted to build a company that helped people find that light inside them and share it with the world.  We all have the ability to change the world, make it better in the way that only we can.  I want to build people up so they can find the confidence in themselves to live true to their hearts.

Go Get It Collection - mirrorFrom there, our first product was born: Whimsical Wisdoms! (or Whimsy’s for short).  Whimsy’s are beautiful images with powerful words that help us change our world. The are designed to move with you around you house in the spaces where you spend the most time.

In order to change the patterns we have, repetition and persistence are key.  Whimsical Wisdomsare designed to help in that process.  They provide new, intentional, and self building thoughts that we can take with us in our lives to become our new patterns.  Deciding that your limiting beliefs will no longer control you is a BIG step in life:  we would be honored to be part of that process with you.

Right now, we have two 4-packs that we are offering.  We have the Self Love and Go-Get-It Collections. Head over to our shop to take a look for yourself!
